Walmart Minimum Wage keeping workers just below the poverty line.
http://www.upworthy.com/the-shocking-truth-about-what-it-would-cost-us-all-if-walmart-paid-living-wage?g=2&c=ufb1
When it's as simple as this, why is it acceptable to keep families on the breadline, just out of reach of financial stability and independence? Almost seems as if there is a purpose to this madness, to keep people on benefits, to prove an irrational point that the people 'need' the government. That the people 'simply cannot make it on their own', because they clearly know what's best.. wouldn't want people doing something crazy like spending their excess income on the things they love. Or perhaps being able to give up that second job and spend more time with their kids, allowing parents the time and energy to fully show their kids the love and support that every child needs.
This would also free up jobs, have an indirect, but huge impact on the current US unemployment rate. (claimed 6.7%, Federal Reserve) ((David John Marotta claims this figure is actually closer to 32.7%, based on actual number of people without a job))
I think the government needs to push for big supermarkets like Walmart to raise the minimum wage. They could even entice them with subsidies, using the money saved on food stamps, if they are not so willing to change.
Some food for thought, with sauce.. http://rt.com/business/us-unemployment-economy-crisis-assistance-006/
Cheers for reading :)

The effects of externalities on the ecosystem
Economic externalities are one of the root causes of climate change and no one is talking about them - it's time the conversation begins. Mr. Jones should be at the vanguard of explaining the problems economic externalities have on social and ecosystem systems.

Christianity and Personal Experiences
Van is a good man who is trying his best to help the Poorest African Americans, and others, in the Country, by helping to get them Jobs. As opposed to Joel Osteen, who runs a HUGE "Christian Ministry", as a tool to get himself rich, by selling his Books to his listeners all over the World, including Poor People on Social Security. Osteen has NO Training to even be a Minister, and is basically a Fraud. But Mr. Jones is the "real Thing", who helps others, especially the poor, just like Jesus did, not to fill his bank account, like Osteen. And his relationship with god is HIS Business, but I believe that he follows true Christian Values. Matthew 25: 31-46 says that one cannot get into Heaven unless they DO help the Poor, and van does that!
I Helped the Poor & Homeless over the past 38 years, including with World Hunger Year, as a Volunteer in 1976-77, and more recently, helping to protect the Poor & Homeless in Asbury Park, NJ, by connecting them to Services, and advocating for them at City Council Meetings since 2000. I also worked for over 20 years in the Computer Industry, as a Field Engineer, Tech Support and Network Engineer. And as an Amateur Musician, I co-wrote a song called "Ghost Town" in 1999, about the fall, and rise of Asbury Park: https://soundcloud.com/steve-wider/ghost-town

What Is A Christian?
Van, I can go out in the garage, run in circles, make engine noises, and say, "I'm a car! I'm a car!" That don't make me one. Anyone can call themselves a Christian. (See Matt. 7:21-23). But a true Christian must be a Follower of Jesus Christ. You cannot be a Follower of Jesus Christ and hold a position that is in opposition to Him. It's just that simple. I've heard you and LZ Granderson claim to be Christian and yet stand in opposition to the Word of God. I sincerely hope you will give this due consideration. Your eternity depends on it.
