Young, black social entrepreneur walks 108 miles to spread love, learning and communication

Jamil "The Governor" Aaron is about to reach the steps of the US Capitol. He started out on Black Friday at the steps of the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond and has walked over 108 miles to bring his message of Green Thought to the leaders of this nation. Green Thought is using love, learning and communication to solve problems, and he and the Eye C U Community have ideas on how to use it to unify the country. He would like to speak with anyone who wants to do the same. Let's stop living in fear, ignorance and isolation and start coming together to find solutions! Identifying Crooks

Van, yesterday you said on air "Wall Street is over-run by a lot of crooks." As someone who is trying to elevate discourse in this country, I was wondering - what admissible evidence do you have for this claim? Thank you very much...

Why?

Do so many people on this site feel the need to identify their race? Does that add/subtract from your credibility? Is it an apology? A boast? Do you identify your race when you talk to people on the phone? "Hi, I am calling about your advertisement. I am a white male...". This is all very silly.

Leslie - guilt and humility

Maybe you should start out by not apologizing for your position in life and not touting your "God-given" talents. Both are symptoms of self-indulgence.

What can I do?

I have been listening to the conversations about injustice this week and it is finally penetrating. I'm very thankful to CNN that they aired Soledad O'Brien's documentary Black & Blue. As a white, middle-classed woman...blessed with a very good education, I don't know where to start the work to help affect change. I'm passionate about working with at-risk kids and have a God-given gift of being able to connect with teens. I have not experienced the struggles that have lead to the protests, anger, frustration and distrust. Where is a good place to start?

Protest Marches and divide within ons in the U. S.

I am a 66 year old white male. I feel that some of the divide that exits in the U. S., as shown by the protest marches, is a to some degree a result of the divide that exits within our Congress, and the lack of support and respect shown to President Obama.

When you mentioned a few knuckleheads ruin it...

were you referring to the looters, the young man who stole from a convenience store that prompted a call to the police, or both?
