#1 Need in America is for Living Wage Jobs!
Due partially to the "Outsourcing of Jobs" to China and other Asian Countries, there's now a Catastrophic Shortage of Jobs in America! Over 25 Million Jobs were sent overseas by 57,000 Corporations in the past three decades, leaving a giant gap in Jobs Needed for everyday People.
And our constant "Perpetual Wars" don't help much, either. We have over 570,000 Military People, just overseas alone, not to protect America, but to further put us at risk. The Soldiers make way under minimum wage, and when they get out, many are disabled, and hardly any of them can find jobs. And this disproportionately affects the minority communities, because they are forced into Service Jobs because of their usual low level of education. In addition, the U.S. has been regularly killing hundreds of thousands of "Non-White" Civilians in these Countries that we either are at War with, or where they stage a Covert Coup, undermined by our CIA.
The "YesWeCode" Plan is an excellent partial solution to the Jobs Program for young African Americans, and Van, I would very much like to be contacted and informed of HOW We in Asbury Park, NJ, can get in on those Jobs?
I also suggest a huge push on Alternative Energy, and wanted to do it here, but we have no source of Funding to start it out here, in Asbury Park.
Please contact us, if you can, OK
Have a very Merry Christmas, everyone, and a Happy Kwanza!

Affordable Housing is Needed
Just received a newsletter from Rebuild a Dream stating North Carolina Congressman Mel Watt to replace Bush-era Ed DeMarco as head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
Change in directors does no good of Congress does not give HUD or the Federal Housing Finance Agency funding to develop affordable housing for the homeless or other facilities for the working poor. Come on Van, I think you can get them to talk about this issue more than others!

What does it take to move beyond comment posting to becoming an activist for progressive change?
As a sequel to my documentary film, Two Angry Moms, I am launching a kickstarter campaign to produce a new film (to be used as a pilot for a series) that tells the stories of people who have devoted their lives to Being the Change. The film was inspired by interviews I filmed in 2010 with advocates who were speaking at the Connecting for Change Conference in New Bedford, MA. Van Jones was one of the inspiring interview subjects. My reason for writing today is two-fold. One, is to ask if Van would be willing to allow me to profile him in this new film. This would involve a day (or partial day) of documentary-style filming - content TBD. The other reason I am contacting you is to ask if you would please help promote the kickstarter project on your website and in your social media. Here is the link to the kickstarter site: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/beingthechange/being-the-change

Let's made Deconstruction a priority!
Hi, My name is Lamar Middleton, I'm a local Deconstruction contractor and trainer in Syracuse New York. Our company's are called Hope 4 Us Training Program and Hope For Us Housing Inc. We are local training providers for the city of Syracuse, we have work in conjunction with Syracuse officials for the past 4 year to make Deconstruction a reality in our area. But the opposition is intense and many don't want Deconstruction to be headed by low income residents, even worst locking poor people out of this industry for their own personal gains. If you take a look on the internet you will see the cost of reclaimed furniture, the prices are staggering. We have many dilapidated houses pre- 1900's with many gems inside, which could be reintegrated into the market place. Thus creating many new jobs for low income residents and dislocated workers. I'm at a loss on how to push for Deconstruction to become a reality, opposed to the 2 man demo teams. "SOS - SOS HELP Us!"

Ask GOP on Xfire why they go after SNAP when so much Wallstreet and Corp corruption?
We hear about the GOP cutting SNAP and throttling all kinds of programs for the 99% yet they do nothing to reduce the benefits of the 1%. Why is that? I never hear anyone ask them that when they are on TV. Why don't they stop the oil subsidies and cut corporate loopholes?
