Your slant is a little severe. Don't you think?

Van Jones. Why the solid slant on what you can actually see in front of you?How dare you defend what you see and protect it. Get over it, and finally admit that perhaps what is happening in front of your eyes, belittles your protection. You can blame it on what you like, but it's happening. You can see it. You are there. Blame it on what you like. But this does not happen elsewhere in similar circumstances.

Inner City Youth Become Global Environmental Experts

My vision is to increase the visibility of underrepresented ethnic groups in the fields of environmental education and awareness, diversifying the global and cultural experiences of children from the inner city and to inspire leadership among children by progressively changing how they see themselves as environmental stewards and advocates for their personal communities. We will change the trajectory of our nation by supporting the growth and development of students who will be the pioneers and educational leaders of tomorrow. Please Join me by supporting my cause at the following link: www.duelingcreek.org or on the following crowd funding web link: http://scholargifts.com/campaigns/inner-city-youth-become-global-environmental-experts/

Is there a whole section on this website entitled "Truth vs. Fiction About Van"?

I'm looking for the page referenced here: http://bit.ly/1osDIoZ The link http://vanjones.net/the-truth-about-van-jones/ used to take you there. Was this page lost when the site was rebuilt/updated? If it no longer exists will it be replaced? There was some good information there which refuted the lies often put forward by Van's critics. I liked that this page existed, as it had all the answers to the lies about Van and made it clear he was not trying to hide anything. If it still exists can someone please let me know how to find it? If it no longer exists I'd like to suggest that it be restored. Thanks.

History should be experiencial

I love creating educational ideas, but don't know how to share them to inspire others. I use history experiences in the classroom's management. What do you think about this?  Thank you! (This isn't about money--it's a presentation method.) http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Experience-history-and-CORE-subjects-all-through-your-classroom-management-1267367

We can diversify Silicon Valley by making it like professional sports ...

Historically, Blacks were systematically overlooked for major league sports because white owners did not a way to monitize our presence there. Today, there is hardly a major team sport that is not dominated by a Black presence. Suffice it to say that it is tremendously EASIER to learn and write computer code than to qualify for spring training in most of the major league sports leagues. Our approach to Silicon Valley needs to be more like what college coaches did when they sought and recruited Black talent for their teams. Get a COACH to fill the Human Resources posts at Silicon Valley’s tech firms. THEY know how to locate and entice Black talent into the ranks — and to retain them there! My point is this. Imagine major league sports here in the USA ‘without’ Black players. I think that the parallels and comparisons to Silicon Valley and the tech industry are the same. Detroit and Watts are much closer than India and China — and the language barriers are fewer.

You're a New Democrat?

Van, I was very sad to hear you became a democrat for Obama. I am a liberal dem myself, but I support the best candidates and I feel you simply went for the black guy. Hillary Clinton beat him in the popular vote and she only competed in 22 states! She won all the big states and swing states. The only reason he won is because Michigan and Florida didn't count due to punishment. Also we don't use winner take all like the GOP and general election. Why did she get more votes? She was and is more qualified and experienced. We could have had 8 years of her and then 8 of him but he has done such a terrible job he again puts her in danger. I was sad to hear you switched party affiliation based simply on race. He needed a perfect storm to beat her and got it but then blew it in office. Luckily Hillary and Bill are still considered the party leaders and she will likely still be president. Still disappointed to hear that from you.
