Trump simply at right place at right time

Trump lost the popular vote to Hillary in a year with dismal Dem turnout, had nearly 53% of America voters choose against him, got millions of fewer votes than either McCain or Romney who he called losers and chokers,.... he won by the election process, not by the people. Questionable legitamacy, not a mandate, since the people mandated against Trump. Why is this not being discussed in the press and on the news shows? This is the story, not a lucky win.

Ken

Grate comments on the election. One additional point for all those that deny Trump's racism. He did not address the disaffected whites by saying that their communities were shot, they have no jobs, there kids are on her ion as the way to reach them.

"whitelash"

Van, I listened to your thoughts on the "whitewash". I voted for Donald Trump, not because he is the best candidate I can think of, but that, despite his flaws, and he has as many as most of us, he was the best choice, based on his POLICY stands. I did not vote for President Obama, but did so, again, based on his POLICY, not on his color. I think President Obama was elected twice because of his personal appeal, of which he has a lot, but I think that he was correct when he commented on his "shellacking", and that this was a referendum on his POLICIES, not the color of his skin. I would love to see a woman like Margret Thatcher become our president. I have many friends that are all colors and nationalities, and enjoy the diversity, and am a little offended that you think I'm racist.

The soul of America tainted our country.

Van, I have viewed your comments from last night's CNN broadcast...over and over again. Everything you said rings true. This election has opened our eyes to the inner soul of America and we certainly need to work on erasing the bigotry and racism which still taints our hearts. What do we tell our children? See this man? This is how you should NOT behave.

Proud American with Russian roots

Van, I been listening you last night and today, please, snap out from what ever your problem is. I am an American with Russian roots. I been so tired being discriminate against me by Obama and Hillary. D you know how many times I went to bed thinking if tomorrow USA will start war with Russia. I have relatives and friends there, and in Obama administration and Hillary - it was absolute The Worst Cold War ever. I am so tired to listen everyday by Obama and Hillary about me being tread for the USA. To me, it is no difference what nationality or skin color people are, however, this movement: Black lives matter, .... I would like to say: All lives matter. Why Black lives wasn't matter to black communities when drugs and gangsters were moving in to their neighborhood.... Why they did not march then? Why they did not get together then? Their children and parents were being killed by gangsters and drug dealers. Where you were at this time? I am an immigrant, and I should be the last person to talk about this issue. But I can not understand, why USA keeping refuges who refuse to learn English, but getting help from the government. No one should be able to receive citizen ship if they speak no English, especially if they are younger than 50 years old. Also, when we are coming to USA, we should respect this country laws and traditions. Yes, we can keep our own, but in our houses, among our friends. But we MUST respect what this country build on, and stand for. Please, first, we have to respect this country, United States of America, and only after, we can practice our own traditions if they in line with USA. Seams to me, you are protecting and worry more about everyone but not our military and our people in uniform. Please, get your priority strait. Be real and put USA before everything else. Sincerely, Lidiya

Steve Bannon

Van, why aren't you continually reminding viewers about Trump's campaign CEO Steve Bannon? and how he has influenced Trump's policies and strategies etc? How can Trump be the president for all when he has embraced Bannon?

I Stand with You

Dear Mr Jones, last night on CNN you were so eloquent, so poignant, so powerful; I was deeply touched and moved. You are a light in what I perceive will be a time of darkness for our country. I will return to your site and to your words again and again to reassure myself that light still exists, and to bring me courage in the days ahead. I will look for a movement that you start that addresses inclusiveness, justice, and kindness. I stand with you.
