Mary Matalin Discussion on This Week
I wish to congratulate you on your demeanor and class on the show This Week this past Sunday. I once read: "I can only be responsible for what I say, I cannot be responsible for what others hear". I have found your eloquence extremely responsible. As a 68 year old white man from Michigan, over the years I have learned that wisdom is the result of being able to find the truth in knowledge. All subjective knowledge are untruths, that is each of us perceives the contents of knowledge differently. As you are still a young man, I marvel at the wisdom you have gained. You seem to have the ability to find the truth in today's world. Please keep up your efforts, and bless you.

Well Done Van Jone...from a conservative Republican!
This is the first time I have taken the time and effort to add any comment into the political firestorm. For the record, I am a conservative, I have voted conservative since Ronald Reagan. I find it hard to watch any of the news networks as I see bias in all of them...and I certainly have not been a CNN or Van Jones fan. However - the Gettysburg piece caught my attention. Instead of the normal superficial whining and complaining - I believe Van hit on something that is at the root of the struggle in our country. It is a principle...something that does not change with time. The ability to listen (seeking first to understand, before being understood) and having respect for those with different viewpoints is critical to our future. Here is a big secret...no one group has all the answers! Here is an even bigger secret...in many cases, the people who are arguing are really saying the same thing. Imagine for a second if our leaders cared more about the people they serve than themselves...and cared more about our country than party alignment. Imagine of they worked to find common ground on healthcare, immigration, energy and debt... My perception is that this is part of the message that Van Jones was trying to convey. Well done Van Jones! I am ready to work with you to help move us forward and stop the "my way or the highway" rhetoric.

Hey Van, Calm Down
Van, sadly you chose to support someone that was more comfortable with George Clooney and Katy Perry than she was with people in the mid west that are losing their homes. That was your mistake, but now it's time to quit your petty bickering and start doing what you can to heal this country. You said that Trumps election was a white lash, what would it have been if Clinton won. Would you be calling it a Black lash? I doubt you would but that's different of course. I am a Bernie Sanders supporter that couldn't stand to wait in line to vote for Clinton, so I didn't. Maybe it's time for you to get off your high horse and focus your attention on how corrupt your party is. In the meantime you should face the fact that even with the media, celebrities, comedians and every conceivable talking head with a microphone cheer-leading Clinton you lost. Get over it.

clearly education is the key
I am a 52 yr old asian male living in Arizona. I just saw 3 of Van's "Messy Truth" videos (are there more?) and while I completely agree that we need to communicate better and we are all more alike than we are different, clearly the long standing strategy of character assassination and misinformation against Mrs Clinton has been effective, Sure, I know about Benghazi, emails, Clinton Foundation etc, but the Arizona Republic, which endorsed the first democrat in 126 years (Clinton) did a good job of putting things in perspective.
I perform due diligence on sizable ($10M+) investments for a living and am always dealing with people who claim what they are selling is "great". My job involves determining if they are telling the truth about what they are selling so I perform financial, legal and regulatory due diligence on each project to get to the bottom line. Based on my own due diligence from multiple sources I conclude that most of the allegations against Mrs Clinton are at the very least greatly exaggerated. OK, so I'm not telling many of you anything you don't already know, but clearly the campaign against Clinton was a great success, independent of civility, morality or the truth. We have to find a way to educate voters, or we risk devolving into a "fight fire with fire" situation (I regret to say that the "when they go low we go high" approach does not appear to have worked ;-(

Van's "nightmare" comment on election night
Dear Van, I was deeply moved by your comments on election night when it became obvious that Trump would win. You were truly eloquent. I have lost so much faith in the decency in the American people after this election. I have not felt this down since G.W. bush sent troops into Iraq without provocation. In the eyes of the rest of the world, I feel ashamed to be an American today. Keep speaking out - I will be listening.

Van's interview with David Axelrod
I just listened to Van's discussion with David Axelrod (podcast), actually twice. I wish this was the type of discussion that happened on CNN. Although my background is very different than Van's, I agree with everything he said and wished more sane, compassionate people like Van were in our government. Unfortunately, I fear we are headed in the other direction.

Mr Jones - women need your voice
Please help the electorate understand how battered we women feel. A man who advocates for a woman's eyes to bleed, or her pussy to be grabbed has a very violent mindset. It is the equivalent to a president elect boasting about the n word or advocating the use of batons and firehoses on minorities. Just how did he get away with this?!?!?
