I'm just too good to be true!
For years as a lifetime Democrat I fought so hard for the American people; I like that Van Jones is open to new ideas. i wish I could get in contact with Ivanka Trump or someone who would say; "we can put Americans to work and get them off welfare!" You know celebrities and i have tons of original comedy; we would change the entertainment landscape forever. ed hayes 775-737-6226

Mr. Jones,
Mr. Jones,
If you are a legitimately injured police officer, or firefighter in California, then Arnold Schwartzennger is no friend of yours! It was through his legislation that has made getting treated impossibly difficult. Treatment and followup care is automatically denied, forcing injured workers to hire an attorney. This slows the process down even more. In many cases going to court is the only resolution. And in many cases judges have had to issue court orders against the workers comp insurance companies, so workers could receive proper treatment. Why does this have to happen?
The workers comp insurance companies have no problem with violating California labor law, because Schwartzenneger removed the penalties associated with failure to comply and as a result, don't feel the need and are not compelled to provide treatment. These companies hope you will get tired of fighting or die, so they don't have to pay out! These same companies, under Schwartzenegger's legislation are allowed to use out of state doctors, who have never personally seen or treated you, to make decisions about your health and welfare, without having a complete history of your injuries and full medical records. These out of state doctors might be making decisions based on nothing more than a few sentences from a request for treatment, absolutely absurd! But this happens every day!
We have no voice in Sacramento, to this day, and the legislature continues to pass laws that negatively affect legitimately injured workers. So before you embrace Arnold Schwartzenneger, maybe you should talk to many of the injured police and fire personnel that suffered as a result of his legislative actions.
And by the way, Schwarzenneger didn't save tax payer dollars, workers comp insurance companies are costing California tax payers many more millions now. He's not the great governor you think he is.
I guess it's okay to put our lives on the line every single day to protect and serve, but when we are legitimately injured in the line of duty, we are nothing more than a number on a file. It's not about proper treatment and care, its about money...

EMA Keynote "where we went wrong....."
• How Trump gave a voice to unheard America
• The Republican candidate means many different things to his supporters, but all of them feel ignored by Washington
• The spectrum of Trump fans range from the white working-class men who see him as their saviour, to moderate Republicans who supported him only because they detested Hillary Clinton, more.
• Trump’s campaign rhetoric, tapped into a community that feels abandoned by the political elite and fears that their white culture is under threat.
• Trump’s mantra, “Make America Great Again!”, is interpreted by his supporters as “Make America White Again”. Much like Adolph Hitler’s campaign call to rid Germany of its ‘non-white’ immigrants, and blame the economic woes on the Jewish community (was also known as “Make Germany Great Again”)
• As president-elect, his running commentary ‘throws darts and doubts’ on everyone and everything that challenge his ill-tempered accusations. Actually, they’re an arrogant ‘smoke screen’ to hide his incompetence, ignorance and disdain of the true American values; which he doesn’t practice in anyway.
• The ICE raids, targeting Hispanic communities, are reminiscent of the Nazi troopers emptying Jewish communities, and sending these citizens away….. ( and we know where that led)
• This tactic is taking us to the precipice of a dangerous slope, evidenced by the rise in unfiltered hate speech and crimes.

AHCA costs in NC
Concerning your show with Trevor Noah last night. The woman from NC that was complaining about the AHCA. I believe you missed an opportunity there. As a NC resident myself, I can tell you that the problem we have is that our previous Governor, McCrory, and his republican lawmakers failed to join the Medicaid Expansion as 34 other states did. That is why the woman was having so much cost. This should have been pointed out in the discussion last night...Bob

Repealing Obamacare
Have you looked ever seen the specs on the "Federal Employee Health Care Coverage?" Most probably have not. They have a very unique program, "by state" for all to choose from. This group plan benefit is what the Senators and Congresspersons are insured under. I will provide the links to see. You will see the total monthly cost, the employees cost and the "government's cost". WE as taxpayers are paying the government cost. Why cannot this be the "Universal Health Care Program" in our country, they have the program established. I've been watching your program on CNN, and tonight the ACA was being discussed. Everyone is missing the boat in not addressing guests from the government, why? This is not complicated one bit, they have it all structured and in place. If it is good enough for the Senators and Congresspersons... why not everyone else. Just look what they individually pay, and what (we) the taxpayers pay for them... Amazing: Here are the links:

As your program is so very informative. I hope you will address this with any guests on your program from the WH, to the Senators, to the Congress. There is a plan in place that surely works, with many choices.. And just look at what "they" pay, and what "we" pay as taxpayers (govt).
I pray you bring this out! Many thanks for your balance in reporting and interviewing!

Messy truth is that you were masterfully manipulated
I listened to your poignant explanation for relating to Trump's masterful manipulation with the Navy Seal's widow. I think the messy truth is that you were masterfully manipulated. And probably like millions of Americans. I believe Trump does care about the sacrifice involved, I just think you should recognize how he is the paramount salesperson.

I agree with Paul!!
Hit send to fast! Shocked at your assessment of his presentation to congress. How low are we going to set the bar for the leader of our country? Reading from a TelePrompTer makes you presidential?! God help us. And acknowledging a grieving widow is "extraordinary"? Please. That was all about a staged moment to get applause, which he couldn't help but admit when he made reference to it being "the longest ovation" ever. Come on Van, you of all people could not really have been sucked in by that act. It's bad enough that a Mad Men are running the country. We can't lose our good news reporters as well!!!

SAY WHAT????
I'm going to do what your friend Bill Maher does---I'm calling bullshit. Not on Trump. That's a given, and your peers at CNN and the Washington Post have that covered (51 lies in 61 minutes!). I'm calling bullshit on you. You're telling us that Trump became presidential by honoring a war widow. You're saying that this single gesture "trumps" the mountain of bad behavior that preceded it. Bullshit. Don't cozy up to Trump, don't legitimize him, don't pretend that we just witnessed "one of the most extraordinary moments in American politics". In my 62 years on the planet, I've never seen or heard of a candidate less qualified, less educated, more hateful, more bigoted, more arrogant, more dishonest, and more divisive. The eventual fallout from this presidency rests on the shoulders of everyone who voted for him, and everyone who didn't vote against him. Now it's on your shoulders as well. You're not resisting---you're enabling.
