The real issue is not the XL pipeline. This is the birdie they want us to watch. It's dramatic, has lots of sound bites ... good entertainment. The oil companies in ND are and have been shipping oil using the rail lines and this should be stopped. Check out the number of derailments to date and the resulting property& environmental damage etc. The pipeline will not cause anywhere near the damage compared to the train wrecks (no pun intended). I suggest that we stop looking at the birdie and focus on what is happening right before our eyes and we are not talking about the real issues of train wrecks carrying oil across the country. I would like to see this subject being discussed and with an action plan to stop the trains immediately.
